Le réalisateur Fritz Lang remercie chaudement le consul, après une réception.

"Dear Mr. Consul General. I would like to thank you herewith once more for the lavish reception you gave for me and my friends. The kind and warm words of your speech touched me deeply. I certainly would have answered longer and more elaborate if I wouldn't have had to fight the after-effect of a severe flu which made it almost impossible for me to speak without coughing. As a matter of fact, I got out of bed and went immediately back to bed after the reception. The recurrence of fever I don't regret, because I wouldn't have missed the hours at your house for anything in the world. My only regret is that it prevented me to write you this letter sooner. Please give my best regards to Mrs. Pérès and accept again my profound and most heartfelt thanks".
