Dr. Emile Blanche announces the death of the architect Léon Ohnet

Doctor Emile Blanche announces the death of his brother-in-law, the architect Léon Ohnet (1813-1874)

"My nephew Georges Ohnet (Georges Hénot) [(1848-1918), writer] has just suffered the loss of his father, Mr. Léon Ohnet, a member of the Municipal Council, who passed away today, June 30th, following an acute liver ailment that began eight days ago. He is too distraught to write to you himself. He has asked me to have the honor of informing you of this misfortune and to ask you to accept his apologies. He would be grateful if you would announce in your newspaper that the funeral will take place the day after tomorrow, Thursday, July 2nd, at 10:00 a.m. sharp at the Church of Notre Dame de Lorette [...]". The gathering following the funeral will be at the funeral home on Avenue Trudaine, where Ohnet lived.

Léon Ohnet had married Claire Blanche, the sister of the psychiatrist Emile Blanche. He worked for the Rothschilds, notably at the Château de Ferrières, and built the Hôtel Salomon de Rothschild. He also designed numerous civic buildings and churches.
