Description :

Yehudi Menuhin vient d'organiser une vente aux enchères pour financer son Ecole de musique et remercie Perrin pour sa contribution, ayant offert un tableau d'Alika Lindberg [artiste belge née en 1929, amie d'André Breton dont elle publia 4 de ses romans], qui fut «a most welcome and important contribution to the Auction which took place this month at the Royal Academy in aid of my Music School. The fact that the artists' agents contributed, the Royal Academy lent its promises and that the auctioneers gave their services made of this occasion a very unique one - one for which I shall ever be grateful. It is heartening in our day when so many rival interests compete to see from time to time such proof of a basic good will and to share in an event which could only radiate warmth and kidness».
