Au sujet des droits d'auteurs et de la difficulté de sa pièce "Arms & the Man", l'une de ses premières comédies, publiée en 1898. "Yes, I have all my rights safe enough ; but I must hold Arms & the Man a while yet for V & B. Th battle they are fighting is too close a thing to give away any communication. It is a difficult play too - not difficult to play, but very difficult to cast. No use at all without really brilliant and highly suitable people [...]".
